| Hi, my name is Ray Ashley. I have been playing the Stick since 1993. I like to play live, improvisational rock, and I like to brew high quality beer. I write my music the same way I craft my brews. Throwing caution to the wind, I evoke Ninkasa, the Sumerian goddess of beer. Ninkasa guides me in the brewhouse, and also as I navigate my way through a typical 90 minute set of music, accompanied by Joe D’Andrea on drums. My Stick is made of Oak. My brewpot spoon is made of pine. I craft my music and my beer with CREATIVE HANDS. My beer is not for sale, but my music can be yours for a nominal charge. Skol! |

Ray and Joe’s Demo Recording “Mostly Mono”
This tape was recorded in 1995 by myself and Joe D’Andrea. All the instrumental tracks were recorded live in the studio with no overdubs. Of the five songs, three have vocals (we both sing). All the material is original.
